Challenge

Previously, purchases, consumptions and inventory adjustments were managed in separate systems, which generated:

• Difficulty to have an accurate traceability of spare parts used in maintenance

• Double fingering between systems

• Risk of shortages due to outdated information

• Misalignment between maintenance and purchasing

Solution

From NERV Corpwe implemented the maintenance system Fiix CMMS as a central platform for asset management and corrective/preventive maintenance.

In addition, we developed a customized integration with SAP Business Oneallowing:

• What all purchases registered in SAP are automatically reflected in the Fiix spare parts inventory.

• That the consumption and utilization of spare parts in Fiix work orders are reported back to SAP, updating the inventory balances in real time.

• A precise mirror synchronization between the two systems, eliminating human error and mismatches

Results

Thanks to this integrated solution, Marine Packers achieved:

• Get complete traceability of the life cycle of each spare part, from its purchase to its use in maintenance

• Reducing errors and administrative time by eliminating double typing

• Accurately synchronize spare parts inventoryavoiding shortages and improving purchase planning

• Optimizing communication between maintenance, purchasing and finance departments
